I Have This Friend...

So I have this friend.  He's without a doubt the best friend I've ever had and I love him to death.

I tell him everything.  We have the most amazing discussions about everything and I truly believe that knowing him has made me a better person and he has saved my life.

(Once I proposed to him and he gave me a thumbs up - which basically means we're engaged)

But anyways, 'Friend' and I talk online constantly.  We complain to each other a lot.

Lately, Friend had been considering a turban, and he brought it up today on one of these IM conversation.  Dead serious here.  Now, Friend is not of a turban-wearing heritage.  Oh no. Friend is Chinese and Italian. Now obviously you can argue that this doesn't matter, which I agree with.  But we also have to keep in mind that it gets really HOT in New England in the summer, and also the fact that we go to a Catholic school.

But I mean, if your best friend told you he was going to start wearing a turban in the situation we're in would you try to be his voice of reason and tell him that he's crazy?

Well I wouldn't.

Well, no.  That's actually a total lie.  I told him I was going to laugh at him and I told him he was insane.

Just clear, out of the blue... "I think I'm gonna start wearing a turban..."

(We went shopping the other day and he bought a purple scarf.  He sounded very upset later that night when he told me about his discovery that you need about 7 feet of fabric for a turban, not 3.)

There is also another dilemma he is having with his turban plan, and that is his headphones.  A group of us have developed a theory that Friend is a cyborg, and that's why he always has his headphones on (They run from his belly button).

We just can't seem to figure out where the hell to put his headphones in relation to the turban.  I offered the suggestion of having them creeping out from under the turban.  I also said that it would be amazing to have them over the turban.  He says that maybe he'll only wear the turban sometimes, cuz he'll miss his music.  I personally think he needs to be more dedicated to this whole turban thing.

I decided I'm goin to draw a picture of him with a turban and a massive pair of headphones and give to to him...I hope he laughs.

There's one other thing that is really gonna make me sad about this turban deal, and that's the fact that I won't be able to see his hair!!!  I LOVE his hair.  I told him so.  I absolutely LOVE his HAIR!!!! It's jet black, and curly, and totally not Chinese or Italian for that matter.  It's usually relatively messy.  There's this one piece of hair that hangs in front of the middle of his forehead, and it curls like, incredibly perfectly.  I always have this strong temptation to like, pull on it and see if it springs back up like it seems like it would.  I think I'm gonna try the next time I see him.

But anyways, this whole thing sounds like its gonna be an adventure.  I can't wait till tomorrow when he gets the fabric.

I hope at least it's a funny color....
